Consolidated Security is a family owned business formed in the Pasadena, Texas area. Troy and Kathy Harrison investigated a joint venture where their combined passions could be joined to provide services to specific areas of need. A security team seemed like perfect fit because of their history and desire to help others.

After being honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps; Troy began a law enforcement career that has now spanned over 30 years, and he has served in every rank and position during his time of service. His later years were spent as a chief of police in the Harris County, Texas area, but also served as a city manager and emergency management coordinator in the region. Troy is also a member of a Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team (DMORT Region VI) where he is a Security Specialist.

Kathy provides the business experience that assures success in the endeavor. She has over 20 years’ experience in finance, purchasing, marketing and business development. She has also been instrumental in fund raising affairs in various capacities for service organizations and non-profits. Kathy’s attention to detail and compassion for others makes her a prime member of the Consolidated Security Team!

Troy’s specialization in emergency response planning and mitigation operations combined with Kathy’s compassion and willingness to negotiate make this the perfect team to consider for all your security needs. Troy is a graduate of the Bill Blackwood Leadership and Command College where he has a published paper on responses to active shooters. This program is the premiere accomplishment of upper leadership in Texas police departments. Their two sons, Troy Jr and Dalton round out the executive team from Consolidated Security. Troy Jr serves as a Texas Police Officer and was awarded a degree from the University of Houston Clear Lake. He is also an ALEERT Instructor for other police officers, along with being a law enforcement drone pilot. Dalton was recently honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps after several oversea deployments and is currently pursuing his final classes needed for his bachelor’s degree. Both Troy Jr and Dalton are avid shooters and have shot competitively, while always demanding safe gun handling practices any chance they are given.   

Troy and Kathy belong to numerous professional organizations and service clubs and team teach the Texas Hunter’s Education class as volunteer instructors for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. In 2021 Troy and Kathy were awarded the “Team of the Year Award,” and Troy was inducted into the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department “Hall of Fame” several years ago. Troy is also a License to Carry Instructor in Texas as well as an instructor in the Basic Peace Officer Course offered at many universities and colleges.
